This simple, easy-to-use system locates secondary cable faults in direct buried unshielded cables to within inches of the fault, even under snow, frozen ground, at street light circuits, at the meter riser, across driveways, sidewalks, or streets. KEY FEATURES: *System consists of a rugged, weatherproof FT14 transmitter and AF2 A-frame detector, each designed to withstand heavy use. *Easy-to-understand analog meter display indicates the direction of the fault and shows when detector is located directly above the fault. *Advanced circuitry and an analog meter make quick work of locating faults. *FT14's fault impedance indicator tells the operator the specific type of fault (break, short, etc.). *AF2 detector comes with a remote probe for working around obstacles. Both models operate on ordinary, consumer alkaline batteries.
