'00 Industrial Vacuum Corp Custom Blast Rig
Description
2000 Viking 40x102 Reclaimer was originally built by Industrial Vacuum in 2000. It utilizes their vacuum system with a Roots 721, 3660 cfm blower@ 27". The bucket elevator and double dump chambers are the same used by other manufacturers. The classifier was custom built by a local manufacturer specializing in shaker screen/classifiers. The grit is separated before going through the true air wash. This utilizes a series of nozzles blowing air through the grit at the same time pulling out the dust with a 8,000 cfm dust collector. The reclaimer was rebuilt in 2009; changing to an ADI baghouse for the vacuum. The rig was rebuilt again in 2011 converting it to a 4-man blast/recycle unit. Four Marco blast pots were modified and added. The transfer of the grit was changed to an automatic pneumatic transfer eliminating the paddle system in the 340 cu. ft. storage hopper that holds up to 40 drums of grit. Two valves control feeding the front and rear of the hopper. The vacuum head was redesigned for less grit transfer to the waste while maintaining a high vacuum rate. Grit loss is approx. 3% per recycle. A 1,600 cfm dryer was added with a dessicant tank. Solid plumbing from the dryer to the blast pots. Each hopper outlet to the blast pot has a shut-off plate to allow service of each individual blast pot. There is a 40kw 3-phase generator, exterior lights for night work, all built on a 48' tri-axle spring ride trailer. The rig was designed specifically to be a simple rig to operate, 3 buttons to start the entire system with few electrical components. Spare elevator parts, extra belt for conveyor, only loses 3-5% per cycle...will recycly grit 20 times, can hold over 40 drums of grit, will hold 80K lbs when full, will run for 10 hrs on tank of diesel. Owner guarantees to work. Wheels: Steel; Tires approximately Good Condition, Unit Runs & Operates as it Should?: Yes;
